In Finland there is a joke about me “Sen-gi, Un-gi, Hen-gi, Nen-gi, Ten-gi and Con-gi, the 6th methods”.

that's funny. a few months ago, i was having a drink with tanaka sensei, and i mentioned to him that some of my friends call me "hendi" (hen=weird/stange/perverted, and most people i know here pronounce my name as "endi"). he said that next i would be called nendi, then tendi, and back to sendi again.

i think that making changes to existing hokei is a great practice, though making a new routine form scratch also requires a lot of different types of thinking. both practices have a lot to offer someone with a bit of experience.

your nengeri sounds very similar to a kick i used to call "zenpo tobi nentaigeri". anyway, i'd like to see some con-gi movements someday. if i ever get a chance to travel to finland, we can trade notes...
