This page is for referrals to products I recommend. I do not make recommendations for things I do not personally enjoy owning and using. In some cases, I may receive a commission if you choose to buy through my links, but I’m not just posting random links for money – you can rest assured that anything on this page is the best I have found.

Taido Goods

Of course, I can’t help but plug the I Love Taido shop at CafePress. I especially love this bag, which is the perfect size for a uniform, belt, and small notebook.

Elastic Steel

Paul Zaichik has some great products for improving strength, balance, and flexibility. Each one gives you a specific routine designed to get the most out of the body’s natural reflexes. Teach your nervous system to relax and allow your body to “stretch” deeper with less effort. Build real, solid strength without having to go to a gym (weights are nice, but not always available). Paul is not just some random personal trainer selling internet workout programs; he’s a martial artist and gymnast, and he has some very impressive movement.

I’ve used his stretching manual to rehab a groin sprain from early 2006, and I feel stronger and more mobile than I ever did before my injury. If you’re frustrated with stretching methods that simply do not work, give this a try.

RMAX

I’m very stoked to suggest RMAX. I’m stoked because I really love a lot of the products on offer and use them myself. Please, check out RMAX and Circular Strength Training. Here are my personal recommendations:

Intu-FlowINTU-FLOW is the updated version of Warrior Wellness, which is where I began my exploration of CST/RMAX. Intu-Flow is a DVD program of progressively-sophisticating routines for developing increased joint mobility, coordination, and balance. I credit my regular practice of Intu-Flow with wonderful improvements in my overall agility and mobility over the few past years.

FlowFit - FlowFit is a very complete full-body workout that requires only about fifteen minutes per session. There are four difficulty levels on the disc in a very cleverly arranged “intuitive” progression format. After I broke my finger and couldn’t hold a clubbell, I did FlowFit for rehabilitation and saw immediate results. I still do FlowFit often in conjunction with my Intu-Flow and yoga practice.

RMAX also produces a number of products related to general training principles and various aspects of the martial arts. I own most of their resource titles refer to them often. If you are interested in any of them, please mail me for specific recommendations, but I feel most people will receive the greatest benefit be beginning with the materials listed above.

Just out of curiosity how does purchasing rmax productys through your link help you? I have been considering buying warrior wellness or possibly the updated version (intuflow?). Every time i use your link it deliveries me to the homepage…if you made a link that directly connects to the product it might help…though im not sure if the legal disclaimer would let you.

i think i get something like 10% commission on sales through my link at rmax. because their corporate management has recently gone really over-the-top with disclaimers and such, i am only allowed to link to the front page, which sucks, because i don’t like their new site layout very much. i would prefer to send taido students directly to the information that i feel they can put to the best use, but they want you to click the “agree” button…

at any rate, both warrior wellness and intu-flow are awesome. if you’ll be at summer camp, i can give you a preview of what they entail…
